The Building of a Great Neighborhood

NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE:

Nominate Your Neighborhood
as the Best in Kansas

By: Chris Green

THE JOURNAL IS
LOOKING TO RECOGNIZE
THE BEST NEIGHBORHOODS
IN KANSAS.

Tell us about why your neighborhood is so great, how you and your neighbors have exercised leadership to preserve or enhance it, and what hopes you have for the future.

Creative, thoughtful submissions are encouraged. A great neighborhood might be filled with historic homes and people dedicated to preserving them. Maybe it’s a leafy subdivision that’s particularly great for raising children. It could be a diverse, funky series of blocks that exude urban cool or a row of farmhouses that sit along several miles of a dusty gravel road. A great neighborhood could be one that’s well established with official boundaries, or perhaps it’s an emerging great neighborhood where people are only just starting to come together. What’s important is that it’s a place that matters to you.

Just answer the following questions below. Try to keep your answers to fewer than 150 words per question. The deadline for nominations is March 31, 2018. We’ll begin recognizing neighborhoods later in the year.
